Dimension: Relationship

Relationship is one of four core dimensions in which we provide your relevant insights. This is also the first dimension in which we are actively providing you guidance to improve through the Gomada activities and other asynchronous engagement tools (eg. Slack bot).

Relationship dimension

Measures how well the team members are related to their team, their workplace, and work. This includes familiarity, trust, recognition and collaboration as sub-dimensions.

Why is this important?

Relationships are important for a team because they can improve communication and collaboration within the team, which can increase productivity and morale. Poor relationships can lead to conflicts and other issues that can damage team cohesion and hinder the team's ability to work together effectively. Building and maintaining good relationships within a team is crucial for its success.

Our vision at Gomada is to holistically help you and your team to improve on these dimensions. We have selected 'Relationships' as the most important one. In which teams see the biggest impacts and results. Gomada already measures all dimensions and pro-actively helps you to improve on the following sub-dimensions to improve relationships.

Sub-dimensionDescription
FamiliarityIt shows how well the team knows each other and how well the team knows facts about each other, in particular about the human individual that they work with within the team. High familiarity scores lead to high engagement and connection to the team and workplace.
TrustIt measures openness and psychological safety in a team to make decisions, share positive, negative, and learning experiences, as well as joint successes. If the trust level in a team is high, people feel safe to share more openly and rely on others in the team for effective teamwork and more individual comfort.
RecognitionIt shows the level at which the team and individuals feel acknowledged, valued, and appreciated for their contributions and successes at work. This related to both peers and both directions to managers. Especially lack of recognition leads to low satisfaction and motivation.
CollaborationIt shows how effectively and efficiently the team works together. It covers communication and interaction in the team, which directly affects work and non-work-related topics.
